This Privacy Policy explains how Wyn Commerce LLC ("Proovi," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Proovi application and website at proovi.co (the "Service"). We know the documents you store with us are sensitive, and we treat them with care.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register.
Immigration status: the immigration status category you select during onboarding, used to tailor your document checklist.
Documents you upload: the immigration-related documents and files you choose to store, along with details you add such as document type and expiry dates.

Information collected automatically

Usage data: basic analytics about how the Service is used, such as pages or screens viewed, collected through Google Analytics.
Device data: general technical information such as browser type and device type.

Payment information

We do not collect or store your payment card details. All payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which collects and processes your payment information under its own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
Store and display the documents you upload, so you can access them when you need them;
Create and manage your account;
Communicate with you about your account, including service and security notices;
Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or your documents. We do not use your documents for advertising, and we do not display third-party advertising in Proovi.

3. How Your Documents Are Stored and Secured

Your documents are stored using Supabase, a third-party cloud infrastructure provider, in secured storage. Access to your documents is restricted to your authenticated account through row-level security, meaning other users cannot access your files. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to retain your own original documents and not to rely on Proovi as your only copy.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only in limited circumstances:

Service providers: with vendors who help us operate the Service, such as Supabase (storage and authentication), Paddle (payments), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own obligations.
Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Proovi, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

Access and update your account information within the app;
Delete documents from your vault at any time, which removes them from storage;
Delete your account, which removes your profile and associated documents. To request account deletion, contact support@proovi.co;
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@proovi.co.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete a document or your account, we remove the associated data from our active systems. Some information may persist in backups for a limited period or where required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Proovi is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. International Users

Proovi is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

9. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used. Analytics tools may use cookies or similar technologies to collect usage information. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
